The Resort of Luosto, Lapland

Set on the edge of the National Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the magnificent ski resort of Luosto provides the backdrop for your holiday to Lapland. Situated above the Arctic Circle; just 90 minutes north of Rovaniemi, it is an area where peace & tranquillity prevail. One of Europe’s most sparsely populated countries; it is hard to imagine anywhere more beautiful and unspoilt than Finnish Lapland. And it is here that we can see why Santa has chosen Lapland as his homeland… a magical place, surrounded by lush pine, spruce & larch forests.

Log Cabins

Staying in a cosy traditional log cabin doesn’t mean you have to forsake your creature comforts, indeed our accommodations have been built to the highest Finnish specification and all are centrally heated. Generally, cabins are open plan in style, although you also have the option to upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin. Each cabin is well-equipped with kitchenette, sauna/shower room, drying cupboard and a log fire (where available). Cabins are individually furnished & may be different from the pictures shown.

Open Plan Cabins

Such cabins provide a very comfortable sleeping area often with 2 double beds built into the wood at a lower level & 2 upper beds.

Two bedroom cabins

These cabins generally accommodate 4 persons, but it is possible to obtain a cabin which is suitable for 6, please ask for a quotation. Open plan cabins are located between 5 & 25 mins walk from the centre of resort & 2 bed cabins between 15-30 mins walk. Naturally we provide you with thermal snow suits & boots to keep you warm against the elements. Breakfast and dinner are taken in resort at an allocated restaurant.

Luosto Villas (price on request)

Luxury Villa Accommodation, situated close to the ski slope. The 4 bedroom villas offer amongst the highest specification of accommodation within resort. A duplex villa over 2 floors the master double bedroom is en-suite with a jacuzzi bath, there are 3 further bedrooms, a twin, a single and a triple (double bunk at a lower level with a single bunk above suitable mostly for children). The two lounges also have double sofa beds. As well as a log fireplace, this luxurious villa features a superb sauna area, two lounges, dining area and well equipped kitchen.

Log Rooms

There are 5 Log Rooms within the main building which houses the log cabin restaurant. Log rooms are particularly suitable for any elderly members in your party that may not wish to walk to and from the cabins. Please note these rooms do not have a sauna or log fire.

Hotel Luostotunturi

This is a charming hotel which has been built in the shape of a Lappish reindeer earmarking. This attractive hotel complements its natural surroundings & affords a selection of en-suite rooms with all amenities. The Amethyst Spa swimming pool is available for guests use (local charges apply) and if you’re feeling a little less energetic, there is a bar in which to relax. A buffet style breakfast & dinner is available in the hotel restaurant.

Twin Rooms
Comfortable guest rooms with en-suite shower & toilet, TV with satellite channels, telephone, hairdryer & minibar.

Family rooms (for 4 or 5 persons)
There are 2 room configurations for this type of accommodation. One has twin beds plus a convertible double sofa bed. The other is duplex in style with 2 beds at a lower level & 2 or 3 mattress beds for children on the upper level, which is reached by a gated staircase.

Amethyst Suites (price on request)
Attractively furnished to a high standard; a light & airy hotel suite with views of the natural fell landscape. The suite has two bedrooms, a kitchen, sauna/shower, toilet, telephone, television, hairdryer, clothes drying cabinet and balcony. The twoseater sofa may be easily turned into an extra bed for two adults or two children.

Tunturi Suites (price on request)
A spacious, bright & attractively furnished suite with balcony, overlooking the Luosto fells. The Tunturi suite comprises 1 attractively furnished bedroom and a lounge with double sofa bed, which can sleep 2 adults or 2 children with ease. Plus a kitchen, sauna/shower, toilet, telephone, television, hairdryer and clothes drying cabinet.
