There has always been debate where does Santa really live, where is his actual home. Seems to be a general belief that he lives in the North Pole. Some people would argue he resides in Sweden, some would say he lives in Denmark, others believe he comes from Norway...... but the truth is, Santa lives in Finnish Lapland!

It's not easy to get Santa excited. What, with his hectic work schedule and exciting life, he's pretty much seen and done it all. That's why what I'm about to tell you is so impressive. Late the other night we got a call from Santa, which was followed by an "urgent" email. It seems that outside of Santa's house in Luosto the Northern Lights were visible in a big way. Santa had just finished updating his month-end "Naughty/Nice" report and he was enjoying a cup of tea on the balcony.

Good morning Lapland!

The temperature has really dropped off in Lapland and we were able to get a great view of the Northern Lights last night - lucky for all of us, we had a camera ready!  I'll post the pics when I have a chance to edit them.  It's really an amazing sight to take in!  It's been really cold over the past few days (-20C would have been a warm up) that that really helps make it easier to see them.  When you see the pic, you'll know that we had no problems viewing the amazing green glow in the sky.
